As if I wasn’t already dragging enough bags of sand to my imaginary finish line, I’ve added one more.
WordPress Block Creator Course at fullstackdigital.io
You know, for some this may be a quicker road, but I’ve accepted that I will just keep plodding and count all my wins, celebrating them in the knowledge that any movement is grand, because I am indeed moving.
My career has mostly been centered on communication and web/digital. I started my working career as a Graphic Designer, and it evolved from there into the vastness of communication via print and publishing, digital marketing, and websites. I’ve done a lot, but I’ve always wanted to deepen my coding until it was fluent..it wasn’t adaptive or based on hacking anything existing. It just meant having a new language (or two) that I could communicate in.
The web has become a place where it feels within its right to take ownership over anything public, and I’ve decided I don’t want to add my personal self, to that – my voice, yes, but my blogging will remain faceless.
Specialisation, in terms of what I’m doing here on this blog—deepening into a specialised skill—is something that, when you look around, seems to be more rewarded than generalisation.
I press on, one effort at a time, challenging both that notion and the limits I’ve set on my own understanding.
I’m also currently learning a new country language. In the same way, that I really have just done one small thing every day, and still accruing mastery over the language—one word, and one confidence at a time—I write these posts for the same reason. Everything pursued with consistency and dedication, can be acquired.
So, on with it! And I like modular things like that Full Stack Digital course – one small course/article at a time.
Aside from that, I think another small addition I can do to this blog is to see if I can automate the titles, so that each one I write automatically increases the version number. I could choose ‘major version’, or ‘minor update’—something like that—to determine if it skips an entire number, or increases only by a decimal point.
That’s it for now.
